WeCycling Takes the Women’s Cycling Community on Tour

Camilla and Sophia turned their rides into a community

Camilla Jørgensen and Sophia Kjær are the creative brainchild behind WeCycling. The two women began as acquaintances. Over time, they found a close friendship through their shared passion for cycling. This friendship became the foundation of WeCycling, a community that now brings together women of all ages, experiences, and cycling levels.

WeCycling is not just a cycling community. It is a new space where women can share the joy of cycling, regardless of their experience or skill level. The idea first arose in the fall of 2022. Despite the initial time pressure, it ultimately became the starting point for a year of friendship. This has since blossomed into a thriving community.

A Name Rooted in Renewal and Connection

The name WeCycling originates from the concept of recycling, which carries a deeper meaning. In the same way recycling focuses on preserving the value of a material, WeCycling also emphasizes maintaining the motivation and joy of cycling. Ultimately, the goal is to create a sustainable community where women can continuously recreate and enhance their cycling joy by supporting and inspiring each other across their individual cycling journeys.

Friendship in Motion at WeCycling’s First Getaway

WeCycling’s first event was a summer house tour at Fjellerup Strand with a focus on the social side. The girls who participated came from all over the country, and created motivation and new friendships across age, other interests and geography. A trip that will clearly be repeated.
